Taming the Inner Sociopath: Little Boy Lost

"A darkly comedic coming-of-age story exploring the eccentricities and struggles of two unique children and the world surrounding them."

Tommy is a little boy lost in bizarre behaviors and darkly comedic situations. His parents are ambivalent towards him, leaving him to seek attention through ever more outlandish stunts. But when he meets Daffodil, a fellow intelligent and similarly unstable little girl, his world begins to change.

In childhood, Daffodil becomes Tommy's makeshift psychotherapist, encouraging him to confront the possibility that he may be mentally unstable rather than just acting out for attention. As Tommy tries to control his impulses, he becomes increasingly worried about his own perceived sociopathic tendencies.

As their friendship deepens and the children start middle school, Daffodil manipulates Tommy's affections to draw him into a scheme to emancipate herself from her hippie parents and join the French Foreign Legion. Tommy, always desperate for Daffodil's attention and affection, goes along with her plan to fake their own deaths and run away together.

But their escape plan is thwarted by a series of darkly comedic obstacles, leaving the reader wondering what will become of Tommy and Daffodil.

Set against the backdrop of the late 1960s and early 1970s, "Taming the Inner Sociopath: Little Boy Lost" is a nostalgic journey through a cultural upheaval and social change. The story comically explores the themes of mental illness, adolescent angst, and the quest for belonging in a world that doesn't always make sense.

Through Tommy's darkly comedic histrionics, the reader is drawn into a world of strange behaviors and bizarre situations where nothing is quite as it seems. The reader wonders what will happen next as the story unfolds, eagerly anticipating answers in this twisted and captivating story.

If you're looking for a wild and unpredictable ride through the brilliant minds of two children desperately trying to find their places in the world, this is the book for you. Will Tommy and Daffy escape their troubled lives, or will their schemes crumble under the weight of their imaginations? Find out in "Taming the Inner Sociopath: Little Boy Lost."
